What is December without a poinsettia photo?

Writer's picture: Robbie MarshallRobbie Marshall

By now most know the reason for its name: John Poinsett introduced it to North America from Mexico where it grows wild and attains heights of 8’ or so. The red leaves are not flowers. The little beady yellow guys are the flowers. Good thing the leaves are so vibrant or we might pass it by. Poinsettias are in the Euphorbia family for those wondering.
