Thirsty Houseplants

Turgor: when you forget to water your plant and it collapses due to a loss of water pressure in its cells. To be fair, this plant can look bright and happy one minute then be in total collapse the next. But it always bounces back, so far.

Now, turgor (hard g) can happen from too little water and too much water. Too little is obvious - no water, no pressure. Too much water results in root rot which stops the roots from taking up water, so again, no pressure.
