Spring heralds and a year of Jenny's "Daily Dose of Pretty"

I guess it’s ok for these guys to be popping up now.

The forsythia will be blooming soon. Sometimes referred to as Easter Tree, it is in the olive family and is mainly from Eastern Asia. Named after William Forsyth, a Scottish botanist with the Royal Horticultural Society.

Jenny started taking pictures of her garden the day BML, closed due to the pandemic, on March 13, 2020. She has been emailing them to her library and gardening colleagues every day. This blog was a natural outgrowth of it - so that we can share her photos & insights and other resources with everyone. Below is poem from Betty dedicated to Jenny's fun and dedicated efforts.

Jenny’s Daily Dose of Pretty

(March, 2020 – March, 2021)

A year’s worth of Pretty deserves a nice ditty.

Our doses came daily; we relished them gaily.

We saw Skip and some bark (but never a shark).

Our favorites were flowers. You must have spent hours!

You informed us as well, which was really swell.

In a God-awful year, you made something clear.

There’s beauty to thrill us and friendship to fill us.

Thank you so much, Jenny! Stay well. Enjoy.

Love,

Your DDOPers
