Leaves of three, let it be. Lovely color, nasty plant. Urushiol is the compound that gives you the rash and agonizing itch. Poison ivy is in the Anacardiaceae family. If you get itchy or are allergic to mangoes or cashews it’s because they are in the same family. Although I react to poison ivy I can happily hoover down cashews with no ill effect.
