Dahlia Tubers

These two specimens came from seeds but never grew flowers - too late of a start, not enough time. After rinsing, it appears that the tuber, second from left may be viable. It has a little brown spot up high, like a freckle, toward the “neck”. This may be an “eye”. I’ll try to save it over the winter and see what happens next spring. The two tubers to the right are already spongy and have no eyes, so they get tossed.
